Were we prepared to let Rebecca Gillen leave without spilling everything from her fitness to health tips??? Most certainly NOT!!

Whilst having one of Dublin’s biggest foodies and personal trainers in for her third session of laser hair removal, how could we resist asking what everyone else wants to know?! It might be 2 weeks into summer but it’s never too late to GET FIT and HEALTHY for that matter!

Her tips were straight forward and made a lot of sense! Let’s take a look at what she had to say:

Her biggest tip was 80% whole foods and 20% treats. Her theory behind this was that when you cut out everything you enjoy, you get into this restrictive habit and you’ll be REALLY good for a couple of days and then you’ll end up binging at the weekends.

WE’VE ALL BEEN THERE! Sworn to the gods that we will NEVER touch a jammy dodger again and live on carrot sticks and hummus and brown rice and chicken for the rest of our days and then when Friday evening arrives and will power is slipping, we accidently fall and eat the meat feast deluxe from dominos followed by a giant cookie from Lidl. “THEY’RE 76c, HOW COULD YOU GO WRONG?!!!”

Yes we’ve all been there and it isn’t a pretty sight! And to think this could all be avoided by incorporating some balance into our diets.

Becca’s advice is to have some treats like some dark chocolate or some cheese and crackers every day to satisfy your cravings and prevent those sugar splurges.
