Dermaroller For Hair

Us Irish ladies love our artificial beauty. Would that be a fair statement? I don’t even think I need to ask that. Given that other cultures depict Irish people as being old fashioned and slightly diddly do, it’s ironic that as a nation, fakery is as common as muck. Now, you might be reading this and thinking, this is not me at all! So I would just like to highlight, of course we love our natural beauty too! I’m just highlighting that there’s enough people embracing the fakery to confirm that is mostly certainly no longer taboo. Hair extensions are always something that have been very popular among Irish women. From clip ins, to glue, to micro beaded and taped, among all age groups, we all know an extension lover. Wouldn’t it make more sense to invest your time into strengthening the hair that you do have and not abusing it with yes quick, but quite frankly expensive solutions. In this blog, we’ll be looking at how the dermaroller for hair is a better option than the faker, more expensive options.

You have two options to make. The first option is, you can either choose a solution that you’re future self will thank you for. Or, you can choose the option  that your future self is going to regret. Both options give you the same results. The only difference is, with the first option, the results you achieve are permanent and the seconds are not.

Dermaroller For Hair

Option 1.

Use your Image A.D.S Premium Dermarollerto micro needle your scalp in order to increase blood circulation to the root of the hair and thus improving hair growth. Aside from collagen production in the skin, it’s thought that microneedling can also help induce stem cells in the scalp that lead to hair growth. Microneedling can also promote the absorption of hair growth products, such as minoxidil (Rogaine).

Depending on the length of your hair, methods of carrying out micro needling on your scalp varies and there are 2 things to be really be cautious of and they are:

  1. Do not tangle the hair around the dermaroller.
  2. Just like the facial area, do not over roll the area and do not roll if you suffer with skin conditions that would prohibit your skin being suitable.

But how do I micro needle my hair?

Beard.

The beard is the most popular area a dermaroller would be used to promote hair growth. With beards being so popular in today’s society, anyone who can pull one off and has one. There’s also a lot of people who can’t pull them off who’s rocking them but that’s neither here nor there. We’re just happy the man bun or as it was infamously know, the “mun” is no longer on trend! CAN WE GET AN AMEN?!” Moving on swiftly to the steps you need to take in order to ensure that you are micro needling your beard area correctly.

Step 1.

Cleanse your skin twice with a non active cleanser to ensure there is no dirt or debris on the surface of the skin or beard area. You will be pushing what ever is on the surface beneath the skin so it’s important to it’s just the right ingredients.

Step 2.

Take your beard section by section rolling horizontally and then vertically 4-5 times.

Step 3.

You will need to clean the dermaroller with alcohol, fill up a clean disposable plastic cup enough to allow the head of the roller to be totally immersed in the fluid. Leave it to soak in there for 5 minutes. Take it out and rinse with warm water and then leave it to dry on some people towels. Ensure it is completely dry before using again.

Short Hair.

This one mainly applies to men as they are more likely to suffer with thinning hair as they get older. It of course can apply to women too who maybe are suffering with hair loss due to other factors which effect us all. These factors can include things like stress or thinning hair due to years of damage from dying and styling with high heats. Micro needling will puncture holes in the scalp promoting blood circulation to the area thus strengthening the hair and allowing it to grow thicker, stronger and quicker.

Step 1.

You will need to clean the dermaroller with alcohol, fill up a clean disposable plastic cup to allow the head of the roller to be totally immersed in the fluid. Leave it to soak in there for 5 minutes. Take it out and rinse with warm water and then leave it to dry on some people towels. Ensure it is completely dry before using again. You can either do this step before or after treatment, just as long as it’s clean before every use. We would recommend to clean after every use so that it’s ready for the next treatment. It goes without saying that the container that you are storing it in must also be clean.

Step 2.

Your hair needs to be wet for treatment so have a shower and wash your hair before treatment. This is also important as your scalp needs to be thoroughly clean. This is also important as you need to lessen the chances of the dermaroller getting caught in your hair.

Step 3.

You want to roll the hair in 3 directions covering the full scalp area. Horizontally, vertically and diagonally. Simply, comb your hair in the 3 directions before running the dermaroller over it so that you your rolling in the same direction as your hair to avoid it getting tangled. Make sure that you are just rolling with the hair and not against it. Repeat 4-5 times depending on sensitivity.

Long hair.

Step 3.

Separate the hair into sections brushing it in the direction you are using the roller. Roll from where the hair is separated. Lift the roller before going back to the top to stop the roller getting tangled. Repeat 4-5 times depending on sensitivity.

Top Safety Tips.* If you are using products for your hair like minoxidil, you will need to wait an extended period of time before applying this product to the scalp/beard as it may cause irritation. Wait at least 2 hours. You don’t want to use your dermaroller anymore than 20 times as it can become blunt and although the alcohol will clean it, you still need to ensure that you are replacing it. Throughout this blog, we spoke about cleaning the roller. This is so important so take note of it.

Option 2.

The other option is and it’s not our most favourite, for women they can apply a form of hair extensions. This option has literally no longevity as it’s pulling your hair from the route and can even promote traction alopecia.
